The Building Process

Real wood.  The pieces I make are built from real lumber.  No plywood, no veneers.  When you look at the end of one of my tables, you see endgrain and growth rings, because it’s a real board, cut out of a real tree.

Over-build everything.  I don’t make anything you can’t stand on, and it will likely outlive you.

Furniture shouldn’t take hours to put together.  I weld every joint possible.  Most of my pieces ship in 2 parts: wood & steel, and can be assembled in less than 5 minutes without instructions.

Foster mutually beneficial, long-term relationships with suppliers.  I buy all my steel and lumber from small     Maine family-owned businesses.
